Approximately 200m² of Fourth Floor rooftop extension in the prime location of Clerkenwell providing a single storey penthouse over commercial office space. The hybrid glulam frame and insulated panellised system structure was fabricated completely off-site and provided for a light weight structure and short period of installation providing minimal disruption to the sensitivities of surrounding residents and commercial offices whilst achieving the code for sustainable homes level 4. The solution was selected from a series of alternative construction techniques as the non-weather dependant and quality controlled manufacture process eliminated the site build risks and complications whilst delivering a high level aesthetic finish.
