Project description:
A 20m long x 12m wide x 9m high elliptical lattice ‘diagrid’ of glulam portal frames with concealed steel jointed connections provide a unique elegant structure towering over the worship area of the chapel. The glulam structure also provides support to an inverted ply-clad timber roof structure that floats above with minimal supporting contact allowing light in through the clerestory windows.
