Project description:
The 33m long x 14m wide building was instructed by the Forestry Commission to house 5No workshops for the education of woodland crafts and skills and was required to be built from British timber only. Laminated larch portal frames at wide centres were prefabricated off-site along with structurally insulated sheeps wool roof and wall panels with British OSB sheathing that spanned between. The external envelope was clad with british grown cedar weather boarding.
